Spring Recital 5/16 & 5/17 at The Capitol

We are in full swing preparing for our spring recital! Review this page for details- we will continue to edit it to show the most up to date information. If you are a new student, enrollment must be finalized by mid-February to ensure a spot in the recital. If you are a student that is currently enrolled but NOT interested in performing in the recital, please notify the Embody Dance office by 2/15.
Recital Photos at The Capitol
We will have a photographer set up at The Capitol to take photos of dancers with their families and friends. Each photo is $5 and will be distributed via a link after the event.
Tech Rehearsal Info
Most classes will only have one technical dress rehearsal the week of 5/11-5/15. Each rehearsal slot will be blocked to last an hour unless otherwise specified. Chaperones will need to be present for the rehearsal to assist with the process. Any students in Mini Movers or Pre Ballet for 3-4 yrs are allowed to have one parent attend the rehearsal as well, but no siblings please. The detailed schedule will be released closer to time- stay tuned for more info.
Chaperones
If you are interested in being a backstage chaperone during the recital, fill out the chaperone form at the front desk. Each class needs at least ONE chaperone- classes with children under the age of 6 will need a minimum of two chaperones.
Costume Deposits
All dancers that are participating in the spring recital have a costume deposit of $30 due 2/16. The remainder of the costume balance will be due 3/16. Please check with the Embody Dance office for updates on exact totals of your classes' total costume amounts.
Recital Videos (optional)
We will have a videographer recording the recitals since there is no video allowed during the performances. These will be distributed on USB drives and each drive is $35. Order forms will be available 5/1 and videos will tentatively be available for pickup at the Embody Dance office 6/8.
In-Studio Photoshoot (optional)
We will be taking End Of Year dance photos on 4/18 12-4pm. This time frame will be for all ages, but dancers 5 & under will only need to stay 12-1:30pm! Photos will be available for parents to download. Dancers will do a headshot, costume shot, and an optional family shot with siblings.
