Embody Improv 

American Improv Comedy was created by Viola Spolin in the late 1930s as a tool to help children build community, grow in their confidence and create mental and physical connections. Improv classes will bring students into the world of improv through exercises, games and play.

Tiny 'Prov

Wednesdays

4:15pm - 5:00pm

4-7 year olds

Rolling Admission 

This class introduces theater and storytelling vocabulary concepts to our littlest performers! Students will spend the class learning games that help develop their memory, pattern recognition and emotional intelligence. They will have the opportunity to use their imagination through using characters, movement and short improvised scenes.

Tiny ‘prov is great for the student who wants to broaden their social skills while exploring their and their classmates' imagination.

Giggle Fest​

Wednesdays

5:00pm - 5:45pm

8-11 year olds

Rolling Admission

Students in Giggle Fest will learn the basics of Improvisation while developing their performance skills. This class will work on physical expression, verbal communication and team building.

Giggle Fest is for students who want to explore their interest in world building, character creation or being the funniest person in the room!

No Cap Improv

Thursdays

4:15pm - 5:00pm

12+ year olds

Rolling Admission

No Cap Improv is a low pressure space for students to learn improv and improve performance skills. This class will get students out of their heads and physically active! Learning improv techniques can help students work on skills like game play, pattern recognition and physical expression.

 

Students will also exercise team work while highlighting their individual skills. And of course, having fun!

Meet the instructor!

Vivian Sille is a comedian with over 10 years of experience as an improviser, stand up, actor and director who has performed all over the country including opening for Tim Meadows and Paul F. Tompkins. 

Born and raised in Bowling Green, Vivian attended The Theater School at DePaul University in Chicago while also studying at The Second City and iO comedy theaters. Using a trauma informed, anxiety managing teaching style, Vivians class promotes personal growth over performance perfection. 

Vivian is thrilled to bring improv to the students of Embody Dance and is ready to get seriously silly!
